Stephanie Monterroso DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Stephanie Monterroso grew up in Sun Valley, California, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in General Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 2015. She continued her education at Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Known affectionately as the “cat queen” during her veterinary studies, she was honored with the American Association of Feline Practitioners Award at graduation. Following her passion for feline medicine, Dr. Monterroso relocated to Florida to join the Cat Care Clinic team. Her special interests encompass soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, shelter medicine, and behavior, and she aspires to become board-certified in Feline Practice.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Monterroso enjoys life with her seven cats—Mocha, Toulouse, Hazelnut, Luffy, Tony Stark, Neville, and Luna—alongside her husband. She is an avid reader, a dedicated NHL hockey fan, and a Peloton enthusiast. A fun fact about her is that her first language was Spanish, and she is eager to work with Spanish-speaking clients, even if she feels a bit rusty.
