cat declawing in Ormond Beach

At Cat Care Clinic we do not recommend that cats be declawed, but if the procedure is to be performed we resolve to make every effort to provide appropriate pain management techniques. We use a surgical laser which allows for less bleeding and avoids the need for the paws to be bandaged after the surgery. We provide multimodal analgesia in the form of local numbing blocks, a continuous IV infusion of pain medication during the procedure, therapy laser (non-surgical, healing laser) on the paws post operatively, an anti-inflammatory injection after the procedure, and additional pain medication sent home. Please contact us with any questions about this procedure.
